We told you awhile back that our Pro Trainer soccer ball machines had been featured in a new TV sport for the upcoming MLS season and the SJ Earthquakes. We just got word that the boys at the factory are now including a Smart Charger with all Pro Trainer soccer ball machine orders. In the past the Smart Charger has been an upgrade option that allows you to plug in your machine to recharge and leave it plugged in. It provides a trickle charge that keeps your battery topped off and ready to go even if it has been months since you last used it.
I have urged schools to get this upgrade for years since they have down time between seasons. But now all customers will get this item as part of the standard package.
Yeah for upgrades! And now your battery will never be left wanting when it comes to a fresh charge.
Pro Trainer Soccer and ATS Soccer participated in the Fanfest area before this past Saturday’s FC Gold Pride game in Santa Clara. We set up two Pro trainers and served soccer balls to eager young soccer players who were on hand to see the Gold Pride play Washington in the WPS game.
Pro Trainer Soccer was especially excited to see our very own Kim Yokers get the nod to start this game. She trains for us and is a wonderful person and player. Well she proceeded to go out and score a cracker of a goal from 35 yards out in the 10th minute to help the Gold Pride to a 3-2 win over Abby Wambaugh and Washington.
We just sold a new Pro Trainer to a young lady back east who is 16 years old. Her Mom tells me that she saved up her money and instead of buying a car at age 16 she is buying a Pro Trainer soccer ball machine so she can work on her first touch. Well Mom is helping to pay for it too.
Mom says she loves the game so much that it is more important to her than a car. I guess she has worked with one of our machines at her high school in the past and saw how it could help her game. (Oh and she told me she found our machine by watching our videos on YouTube. I love the Internet!)
Coming back from knee surgery she sees this as the perfect training tool to help her polish her game and adapt to some new things like wearing a ACL brace on her knee.
We sure wish her the best and we know that the Pro Trainer will give her a good shot at building her soccer skills every session.

The Pro Trainer soccer ball machine will be exhibited at the 2009 NSCAA convention in St Louis in January. We have signed on to be part of this exciting show that features coaches from all over the country who participate in the NSCAA and its coaching programs.

The Pro Trainer soccer ball machine is out on the road this fall and winter as part of the Soccer Youth Roadtrip Fanfest tour. We are one of the sponsors for this event which will consist of 65 stops around the country promoting youth soccer.
As you can see from the photos above the event is lots of fun for the youth soccer players at these stops. The weather is cold back east but lots of folks coming out for the tournaments get to see the SRYT event.
From the SRYT site:“The first annual Soccer Youth Road Trip is officially underway. The crew left the great state of Kentucky in the amazing looking Soccer Youth mobile, with all kinds of free things to give away. Our first stop landed us in Cleveland, OH at the Brunswick Fall Classic. The crew was there very early (6am) to set up to make sure the kids playing in the early games could enjoy our Fanfest. Kids came running over to the area in all directions once they saw the giant Soccer Youth Jersey and Cuties inflatable. They had to see what all these tents and inflatable where all about. The kids were filled with joy to find out that everything was free! Kids were walking away with handfuls of Cuties California Mandarins and Major League Soccer posters.”

The Pro Trainer soccer ball machine may be coming to a city or town near you this winter and spring. Pro Trainer Soccer has signed on as a sponsor of the Soccer Youth Road Trip put on by DugOut Media. The tour begins in November and travels to 60-65 locations around the US.
The Pro Trainer will be on display and used in action filled skills contests designed to show you how it can be fun and a terrific training tool to building top notch skills in your backyard or out on the soccer pitch. There will also be other exciting and fun soccer activities for youth soccer players to participate in at each stop. So if the tour comes to your town be sure and come out for some soccer fun.
